Here at Bramhams we provide a one stop agency to cover all of your needs when travelling overseas.

Whether a frequent traveller or just looking to travel for a one off occasion, since Brexit, you will need to appoint an agent to make this possible for your horse to travel.

Our shipping agency covers travel arrangements between the UK & Ireland for both commercial and private individuals. We also offer services for residents from the Republic of Ireland to travel to Mainland Europe via the UK Landbridge on transiting customs.


Our Shipping Agency offers an efficient and friendly service to guide you through all aspects. We can put together full packages for your trip abroad. From organising the vets on both sides of the Sea, sorting all of the health papers, customs, ferries to even organising your hotel and stabling.


We also offer free advice and explain all the processes while at the Border Controls. You will have 24hr / 7 Day on call team who will have prior knowledge of your movements and able to assist you with any last minute changes you might encounter.

Our Services:


  • EU/UK Export Health Paperwork - We hold direct accounts with the Irish Department of Agriculture & all major Equine Veterinary Practices in the UK to arrange and book Government & OV Vets for the completion of your export health certificates which we create in house.
  • We are licensed with the UK & Irish Revnues to offer full Customs packages - Including the organising and assisting with ATA Carnets, providing full digital Customs or arranging permanent export/import.
  • We hold direct freight accounts with Irish & Stena line Ferries - We are able to arrange ferry bookings and source suitable sailings at competitive rates (with cabins and meal vouchers provided as standard). Ferry bookings made through Bramhams also include your Pre-Boarding Notification & Goods Movement Reference being created and uploaded free of charge - This will then provide you a routing at the Port.
  • We liaise directly with the Port to ensure a smooth and straight forward passage leaving you to travel with peace of mind and leaves you to enjoy yourself.
  • 24/7 Assistance - With an experienced & knowledgeable team, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for any queries or assistance you might need whilst in transit. With a dedicated WhatsApp group between yourself and our agents we are able to work around your requirements.
